We renew our commitment to the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination
BBC PACKAGING is proud to announce its renewed commitment to the Alliance for Childhood Vaccination.
In line with our CSR policy at BBC Packaging, we want to continue to be part of this social cause as a silver level sponsor.
BBC Packaging’s economic contribution will be dedicated to the distribution of the pneumococcal vaccine in Mozambique. This vaccine protects children against pneumonia, which is the leading cause of infant mortality in children under the age of five.
With this project, companies can properly channel their solidarity concerns and worries through the Business Alliance for Childhood Vaccination, a pioneering corporate social responsibility initiative in Europe that aims to offer Spanish companies the opportunity to collaborate in this solidarity initiative, guaranteeing that their contributions are entirely earmarked for the vaccination of children.
Donations received by the Business Alliance are managed by GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance, the world’s first public-private partnership to fight child mortality in developing countries, to expand access to and quality of vaccines. Fighting mortality in boys and girls.
With 3,000 companies, 8,000 customers, employees and micro-donations, a total of more than 8.8 million euros have already been donated.
Thanks to this cause, 6.3 million boys and girls have already been vaccinated and we hope that many more will be vaccinated this year and in years to come.
